#SalesTipTuesday: The Top Characteristics We Look for in Sales Reps
Happy Tuesday, everyone! My name is Ryan Walker, and I am Victory Lap’s Director of Sales.
We get a lot of questions along the lines of, “What are the top characteristics and traits that you look for in successful sales reps?” Now, I think there are plenty of personality traits you can choose from: competitive, driven, hardworking, empathetic etc. But especially from the longevity of a career perspective, it boils down to really maintaining a positive disposition and a positive mindset at work.
Even more so from the entry-level standpoint, there’s so much head trash that sales reps have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. In order to really counteract that, you need to maintain a positive mindset by having a higher perspective and purpose for why you’re going into work every day.
That’s something, in my experience, that has really allowed sales reps to anchor themselves, and consistently battle the grind that is the sales career.
